Okay okay, so yes I am aware that McDonald’s owns Chipotle, I am aware that the blogosphere is a great community that has recently informed me that McDonald’s does NOT own Chipotle! So no damper on my excitement regarding the opening of the first Chipotle in Paris, I am ready to enjoy its deliciousness in all its glory.
As soon as it opens, I will let you know if the burritos are just as enormous and the choices of fillings are the same. Located quite close to my work, I can foresee myself frequenting Chipotle more than I’d like to…
As for the date of the grand opening, I am not sure, but it will be located on 20 Boulevard Montmartre in the ninth arrondissement, right next to a McDonald’s. Coincidence?

How exciting! I just ate at a Chipotle the other day and thought about your other post. How funny. Anyway, to make you feel better, McDonald has no interest in Chipotle at the moment (they were a big shareholder years ago..but no longer), so no, they don’t own it.

If I am not mistaken, McDonalds no longer owns Chipotle. I believe McDonalds divested its entire stake in Chipotle several years ago, after helping the company to expand nationwide in the US.

I just passed by last week, and from the looks if it, they are still renovating the interior. 😦 My guess is that it will be another couple months before it opens. I’ll be sure to update the post and spread the good news when it opens!!! Have a great day, and thanks for commenting!!

Just had dinner at the Hard Rock on Saturday and it looks like Chipotle is all set to open. They weren’t open yet but the sign is there and it looks like all the renovations are done. Probably open in the next couple weeks (fingers crossed).

Just walked by it Saturday (March 10, 2012) and it still wasn’t open. It has floor-to-ceiling signs in all the windows so you couldn’t see inside, but everything was branded Chipotle and there was a big sign out front. Makes me think they’ll be opening soon but there weren’t any signs with the hours or “Coming Soon” or anything. Way to keep us hanging!
